Two Billion Trees

2 Billion Trees, a legacy of trees and less CO2

Over the next 10 years, up to $3.2 billion will be invested in tree planting efforts to support provinces, territories, Indigenous organizations, third-party organizations (for and not-for-profit), and provincial/territorial governments to plant two billion trees across Canada. Known as the 2 Billion Trees program, the Canadian government aims to motivate and support new tree planting projects to improve our collective futures.

We are Alberta’s largest – and Canada’s second largest – producer of woody plant seedlings.

Our strengths don’t stop at growing though. We have professionals who can guide you through the complexities of seed, growing the right stock type, the associated regulations and guidelines on genetics, frozen storage of seedlings, logistics, planting, project management and more.

The project types we serve vary widely

  • Forestry
  • Reclamation
  • Naturalization
  • Biomass production
  • Orchard and U-pick production
  • Riparian zone planting
  • Woodlots
  • Shelterbelts
  • Indigenous group naturalization
  • Much more

Who we work with

  • Indigenous Communities
  • Municipal, Provincial & Federal Governments
  • Not-For-Profit (NPO) Organizations
  • For Profit Organizations
  • Communities
  • Farmers and landowners
